Conner | Class of 2015 | Napa High School

This is it, all of his hard work in the classroom, on the field in Napa High Football and playing for the Napa Stormers Rugby Club, he walks the stage tomorrow afternoon with all of his classmates.  Well done, Conner!  And, hey, BOORAY, he will be  representing our country and off with the U.S. Marines next month.  Thank you, Conner, for your service.

I’ve had the honor of knowing Conner over the past four years as a key player for the Napa Stormers Rugby Club, and it’s been quite a ride.  He’s an incredible Scrum Half and, If I remember right, he had a nickname of Bulldog for awhile.  He is absolutely on it, when he plays!  I don’t think there was ever a game where he was not nominated by the other team as one of the ‘Men of the Match’.   And, as the team photographer, I don’t think I’ve missed more than one game.

Conner will be missed, but we wish him all the best as a new chapter in his life begins!

A Race to the Alter :: Please Join These Two! Engagement Session in Tiburon

Indeed, they are beginning their run through life together and they want their loved ones there at the starting alter with them.  Amy and Jeff requested their engagement session take place in Tiburon, at one of their favorite outdoor recreation areas.  It’s so beautiful there and this is where Jeff popped the question to Amy.  It’s also where they enjoy running and play time with their adorable bulldog, Truckee and otherwise, recreate.

Truckee was just a tad interested in what his ‘parents’ were up to.  It was all good.

In fact, it was beautiful.

And, There She Goes …. Catherine’s High School Senior Portraits

Yep, there she goes, college bound.  Thank goodness I’ve known her since kindergarten and have had the immense pleasure of watching her grow up into the amazing person that she is.  Her parents are pretty spectacular too.  When her Mom called and asked me about taking her Senior photos, I was so excited to have her all to myself.  I’ve been photographing her for years, well, up through middle school.  And, that was always as part of her class, whether that was in the classroom playing violin, painting, outdoor education trips, so many opportunities.  But this, my greedy camera and just her (with her awesome mom hanging out with us and keeping her laughing), so, so happy!  Catherine can seem quiet, seem shy, but she is super fun and funny.  Can’t you tell?  I love her laugh, her smile, her kind heart, the way her hair whips around in the wind.  I can still remember a photograph I took of her along time ago on a school beach trip.  I was being stealthy photographing the kids (I think this was 5th grade) and remember loving the way the ocean breeze took her long hair and gently swept it up and away in the wind.  I could say so much, but I won’t embarrass her, and just let her smile and laughter tell it all.
Thanks Catherine, thanks M.
